Please don't laugh at this but...

I was playing the piano in my sitting room about a year ago when I saw a young woman in a long white dress standing at my fireplace. She had long black hair past her shoulders and I couldn't see her feet. She was facing me.
I saw this through the reflection of my piano. I firmly believe in ghosts or, at least, spirits. A friend of my family's died last August and I just know he's still walking around. My puppy also died last January and I am confident I saw her a few days after she left us. I still to this day think they are both wandering our house.

My house isn't an ancient mansion or a spooky building, it was biult 16 years ago in an estate filled with identical houses. About 2 years ago, we got an extension onto the side so it's not all old or run-down. It's hardly spooky at all but I know there's something in here with us.
