Hey, at the school i go to i'm in a certain class and dont have many friends there, only one or 2. I dont get bullied or anything, i'm just like the quiet one of the class.

I wanna mix wiv the popular kids more but i seem to have lost my way as in makin friends, can anyone give me some tips?

I'm fed up of sitting on tables on my own while all the other kids are havin fun

Just strike up a conversation. Go over to the table and go 'hey, what do you think of blah' Or if you're that desperate make fun of other kids or even teachers.

if you find it hard to make conversations, try and find something that you have in comman with people, or something that you can help them with. you dont need to be friends with the popular kids, try being friends with other people who find it hard to talk to others.

but just start off with small talk, see if there is anything in common

depending on what class it is
if there is a particular part of the work they find a bit more difficult but you understand it offer them help (to sort of ease your way in if you are scared of just talking to them straight away)
and
if there is a particular bit you are finding a bit difficult but know they understand ask them to try help you with it

Think about your good points, if you're funny make jokes. People like people that can make them laugh. What about the 2 mates you do have? Are they loners too? If not why not try mixing with their friends...?

get a makeover and get really hot and dress preppy and they'll be like oh SNAP who's that? and bang you got friends

Best thing I can say is "It is better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done." Such a well known statement, but it is very true. I have been fortunate (I guess) to have never experienced the regret of not doing something, until recently, and trust me it hurts a lot more than the consequences of actually doing something.

It is much easier to make conversation whilst doing (and after) an activity as you will have something to talk about. So if it is in the classroom you are trying to make friends listen to what they are talking about and when you see your opportunity to join in, take it, as you may not get another chance. If they decide to ignore you or blow you off, never mind, if it is successful you can start making friends with them. Also look to join in playing football or something at lunch times.

It is very easy to talk about things, but it is a lot harder to actually do it, so just try to be confident (as this helps) and see what happens. The worst thing that can happen is they laugh at you or ignore you, whereas if you don't try, you could have just lost what would have been a very good friend.

hey that reminds me of me except add the bullying bit back in...anyway being like that isn't all bad at least you stay outta trouble and keep up with your school work. dont you have a seating plan anyway? that should mean your not always on your own :s

Popularity is dumb. Are they really popular? No, because you don't like them and a lot of other people don't like them. Maybe they just have a bigger friendship group. Or maybe people give them too much attention.

Just make friends with nice people not 'popular ones'

I used to be the quiet boy at school. Now i have people phoneing me all hours of the day asking me to come out, I've acturally had two people beg me to be their friend, in one day, lol?

I completely changed myself, I just got up one day, and moved to another city, away from everyone, only telling my pairents. Not knowing anyone in the city. But i suppose that isn't really adviseable..

The one thing i really changed is my confidence, I don't give a shit anymore, have fun and don't care what people think about me.

Popularity is over-rated, Most popular people are arseholes.

At my school I'm pretty popular and just because you don't like the popular people at your school doesn't mean you should just stereotype everyone like that.

Think I own the place? Not really
Push people around? Nope
Get what I want? If I work for what I want like everyone else
Not do the work or exams? Hardly, I've finished all my coursework and am waiting to take my GCSEs, like everyone else
Get things for my looks? Like what...? Sure your looks make you more popular to start with but if I didn't have the personality to match then obviously I wouldn't stay up top

I'm not a chav by any stretch of the imagination, I wear alot less make-up than what I just saw your eyes coated in (not being bitchy just honest), I don't drink, smoke or do drugs, and I'm a long shot off even touching on slutty.

By no means am I saying all the more popular people are perfect, but you do seem bitter about them.
