I'm a female still in high school andbasically he is my best freind who I have been in a relationship with before, trouble is I started to hang out with this girl without realising she was his ex and he really hates her. He's tryed to be polite about it and I know I shuld do my own thing but when he sees me hanging round with her he gets really upset and slightly angry.
I made up my mind that since he is my best freind and I dont know her too well I will stop hanging around with her but because she hates him and I dont want to completly lose her as a freind what can I say is the reason for not hanging out with her?

I cant really tell her that it's because he is my best freind but im running out of these pathetic excuses like 'I need to copy my math work from someone'

Just see if they can resolve their differences between each other first.

Thanks for your advice but I know they wont sort it out....it's been 6 months and they still hate each other I doubt a little longer will change things
