Ok. I'm 15. I'm a guy. I have never had a real girlfreind. I have never snogged a girl. I am never invited to peoples parties. I am not in the "popular" group at school. My close friends from a year group of 110 pupils can be counted on the fingers of two hands. I need advice on how to, well, "get with the crowd".

My main problem is that i have known most of the people in my year since we were around 10-11. When I first joined the school I wasn't very sporty and this immediately placed me in the "unpopular" group. I am also quite intelligent. This did not help me popularity. Now we are in secondary school and although people are more mature i feel that the stigma remains. It seems that a solution wouldbe totry and make new friends outside of my school, but unfortunately i go to a boarding school and i am stuck there for most of the year. Making friends outside is nearly impossible. I am going to spend most of the next three years of my life there and i need to sort out this problem a soon as i can.

I need your help.

If in doubt, do nowt (out of the ordinary) and be liked for what youre good at, and certainly dont "try" to fit in by changing stuff dramatically, you get pushed out further

belive me i've tried the "nowt" route for 4 years now and it hasn't got me anywhere. I feel as if the only way to change is to wait until uni and try again there, but i could wait my life away and change nothing. so i need to do something before its too late.

if you have friends that like you for you why the heck would you want to change. no one worth snogging is going to snog a posser. just be you and someone will find you. if your that desprete do you have any girl friends? if so try, if possible to either get her REALLY hyper or drunk and she is likly to snog you if it is the right kind of place.

you could try finding someone on the fringe of the popular group, befriend them and work your way in. but normally, "popular" people are the ones with the most insecurities and problems, at least in my experience anyway. if i were you, and had other friends, i'd stay out and stick with the close friends i had. friendship groups naturally change over time anyway, and if its that bad, eventually you'll get out!
