If you prefer one of the two, which one and why? I'm talking paintings here, just so things aren't too broad. :p

I love modern paintings with the detail you can look at for years

But...

I also love traditional paintings with the thought and depth inside them O_O

Ofcourse, they aren't both defined Just as that but thats what i like about them

:\ Isn't it the other way around? :p Or by detail do you mean the complex arrangements or simplicity?

I like both a lot. Lots of people find traditional art boring but I really like it. I love modern art too. I think I prefer modern art actually. It's good to mix the two together sometimesss.

I think I'm the same as you. I went to the gallery today, and they got rid of Zackory's Dream Series, replacing it with a Traditional exhibition. I think modern art is more exciting. I'm not sure.
Traditional art is stunning, of course.
I hate the way some people think that Traditional art is "real" art and anything that isn't a painting of something tangible is rubbish.

A lot of Early Traditional art is about religion, so I guess that has a lot of meaning. Kind of tiresome though. I prefer later periods.

Yarh. And the thing with traditional paintings is you can't be as cryptic as you can with modern :\ . If that made sense.
