How can you actually have an online relationship? If you met online and then met up then yeah. But if you didn't ever meet? Just no.

I don't know...I think you can build up really strong relationships and get to the stage where you really care about someone..but the internet can be so deceptive. The person you think you're talking to, might turn out to be someone completely different. I don't necessarily mean their age, or anything, but someone might come across as being one way, then when you meet them they're not that person. Things come across so differently when typed, e.g. just the word 'whatever' can have so many different meanings etc.

i dont believe you can have a real relationship online but i do think you can care for someone a lot that you have never met. I met my boyfriend online but we didnt start going out until after we met, we were just good friends for the few months we spoke

Its absolutely possible to start up a relationship online, you can love someone because you still know their personality and etc, but if it stayed online forever then it wouldn't be around forever, a relationship also needs to have that closeness in the physical way. It can only go so far, to put it simply.
