I would have thought that an American medium would be roughly the same as a British medium. I think there's only a difference when it's numbers...

Well it was tiny! it fit me fine, but definately wouldnt wanna put any weight on (not that i wanted to before)

I would also go with the same. I think sweatshirts are more standard that tshirts would be anyways. There are only so many different styles of a sweatshirt, where as a tshirt, a lot are meant to fit differently. if you get what i mean...
