I really couldn't give a shite what size I am.
If I like the way I look it really doesn't bother me.
I couldn't starve myself into a size 4 even if I wanted it, it looks gross and unatural unless the person is genuinely skinny.
A couple of my friends are really weight conscious and it so frustrating watching them not want to be heavier than X stone, or wear anything above a certain size.
The way it's percieved in the media really doesn't help, there's too much pressure on teenage girls to look 'right', in my opinion.

i'm sort of with michelle on this one. you're a perfectly normal, healthy size and you still want to lose one or two pounds? that makes you as daft and unreasoning. and who would notice one or two pounds anyway? you'd look exactly the same. with that kind of thinking you're not much different to a size 6 person wanting to lose weight. you know you're thin enough but you just want to push it that little bit further.

I know what you mean. Some mens opinions of "fat" is shocking. But yeah I personally think its gross. Not to mention unhealthy. And you wanting to lose a few pounds at that size is just as silly. I know loads of girls who are like a size 16 and totally gorgeous. They know how to dress in order to suit their body shape. And are bloody stunning. Its all the media's fault. And people are just as silly lapping up what they say.

I am naturally a size 6/8 and absolutly hate it. At that size clothing and at 5"11 with 34" legs you can't find clothes to fit, I mean I cant but a pair of jeans that cost less than £30. I am happy with my actual body and it's not like I don't eat, I do nothing but, I just don't put the weight on.

I have fit into a size 4/zero prom dress before, last year and went straight to macdonalds and stuffed my face because I hated the fact that I was that skinny. Although this is my veiw now I used to be on the verge of eating disorder, but don't think I could ever want to bring my weight down ever again!

Im naturally thin, size 8. I eat like a pig and still don't put weight on, the only thing I hate though is my legs, I wish they were "fatter"

I think the problem is though, that the size girls feel comfortable at seems to be shrinking every year.

MOST girls wouldn't mind losing a few pounds. To me this just suggests that girls would feel comfortable smaller, dispite what size they are to begin with ... meaning smaller=better.

You know what confuses me. When they made this big deal out of Britney Spears putting weight on. She looked completely fucking normal! And yet they were putting it in the magazines saying she had let go and loads of shite. Ahh. thats what annoys me most.

It's only when pictures surface of their bones sticking out, that the media suddenly say it's terrible and they need to put weight on.
Why can't they teach us to be happy with the skin we're in by showing pictures of average, normal healthy girls, rather than showing themselves as two-faced?!
