Hi there, i'm new here and i have a dilemma lol. I'm 17 and work in a hospital and when i go about my thing I see so many good looking girls, nurses etc, and i'm also one of the better looking guys who works there, the only thing is i am incredibly shy and have confidence issues and it is eating me up inside, how do i grow some balls and actually approach a girl and strike up a conversation, even when i get signs from a girl i totally freeze and then i'm pissed off at myself for not doing anything about it, what do i do, do i wait for a girl to approach me (it'll happen when it happens sort of thing) or is there another way to not be doomed to be single forever lol

Firstly, I don't really understand how you can have confidence issues while admitting that you are one of the good looking guys out there...

Anyway, I don't see what the problem is... Everytime you talk to a girl you just need to imagine that you are talking to a really good friend or something... coz then you won't feel as nervous about saying the wrong things... Besides.. they probably can't tell that you are nervous at all..!

Start with little conversations. Find things you have in common... like? if they are grabbing a bit to eat, or drinking coffee, or reading an article, or talking about the weekend. See if you can chim in with short tidbits about the subject. Girls like guys who are confident, but don't constantly talk about themselves. Also, don't be creepy and stalky. If you are getting a weird vibe from a girl, like she doesn't want to talk (which could be her problem too, not yours), back off.

You don't sound like the type to get creepy though. Just strike up a conversation, and once you've had a good one.. keep the chatting up through the week and things.
