Default Should knife poem be axed from GCSE exam?
Exam board AQA is removing a poem about a knife-carrier from its GCSE English anthology. Should the exam syllabus be led by social issues?

That's ridiculous. Not only is it one of the better poems in there but mollycoddling people by not 'exposing' them to a poem which has a knife in is stupid. Kids see/hear about/are involved in far worse things every day. I swear no one is allowed to live anything but a sheltered life these days.
