A soldier on leave from Afghanistan has been refused a hotel room after showing his military ID. Do our forces get enough recognition and respect in the UK?

The SAS are still recognised as the "best" and most experenced fighting force on the planet, and are what most of the worlds special forces are based on. We have brilliant trained military personell, and the world recognizes it. I can't say about that perticular situation, could be a million reasons he wasn't let in.

A lot of americans will disagree and say that their SEALS are better, but in a lot of missions in the war on terror the USA has asked for our SAS men and even said that "they deem them the most skilled and experenced force to deal with the situatiation."

They get fuck all respect. They're fighting in a war built on lies, a war we won't win and a war with an ever-increasing mortality rate. In America they're treated like heroes.
