Have you seen this movie?

Its a movie about evangelical christians, specifically one named Becky Fisher who lives in Missouri and does what she calls "Jesus Camps"

As a "christian" myself, (I use quotations because I no longer attend church) I am appalled at this film. This pastor/camp scares me. It's like they brainwash children into being bible thumping, torch carrying recruiters.

THAT isn't christianity.

I feel sick.

Yeah, they made kids cry, and the way they spoke to them, calling them hypocrits and sinners and just wtf. I was like THEY"RE CHILDRENNNN! I wanted to thrash the minister.

ah my god. my brother and i got sent to a salvation army camp when we were kids (like, nobody, in my family is religious..at all. was a mistake when my mom signed us up) and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. i came back "born again" singing bible-fucking songs for the whole car ride home and the next week straight. scared my parents to death.

I remember watching this movie and avoiding my Pentecostal friends for the next week.. it's scary seeing what goes on, but you should try watching the film Marjoe, its by this guy who was indoctrinated as a kid to be a 'preacher', basically exposes the entire sham of american evangelicalism.. people writh on the floor and give up all the money they worked for to the 'power of God', while in reality its just a guy who knows how to manipulate people. It exposes the foundation of the things they teach those kids at Bible Camp. It's quite frightening.

The closest thing I found to it online is "Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter".. its probably pretty cheap to buy or rent though, its not a major movie or that new.

I saw this programme on TV, I watched it all, but at the end of it all i could say was how saddened I was.

It just made me realize how far some people are willing to go, and to have kids brainwashed in that way shouldn't be allowed.
