I read this at work and read about it, I thought it was for something like CrimeWatch and was trying to work out why people where agaist it.
But now I've read it again it makes sense, its sick.
You have to wonder why the parents of the 'look - a - likes' are letting their kids do this.

The whole 'special connection' is the parents damage limitation of how they are being portrayed by the media, they're trying (unconvincingly) to make out it isn't just a money making scheme.

I bet none of the money they make out of £600-hour goes towards helping find maddy.
Its stupid, If somebody spots the kid it sends false hope around. And how the hell can they have a special connection, to the bank ?

To use your daughter like that is very odd, admittedly, but what's even stranger surely is the people who would pay £600 to have a Maddie look-a-like pop around =\ I mean having a look-a-like is absolutely pointless at the best of times and something I've never understood, but this..?
