Well i'll say yes to start with, but as long as I am not expected to pay for the child etc. Think of it as an anonymous donation. I think that's how it works at sperm banks, with it being anonymous, right?

The only thing is that I might be like "I wonder what that sperm I donated all those years ago is doing now..."

I find that really bizarre, 'cause I wouldn't be bothered at all if I found out my parents weren't my real parents. I'd be a bit disappointed that they hadn't told me, but I'd get over that quite quickly and still think of them in the same way as I would if they were my biological parents.

I'm not sure if I'd want to donate or not. I don't find the idea weird or anything because I really just see it as a bit of genetic information, but at the same time it's not something I really like the idea of. I can't put my finger on why, though.

'a bit of genetic information' lol i could never see it like that. and you dont want children or anything(?) not making out like you're cold or whatever you're lovely but idk. i crave connections like that with people like recently i met this girl in the pub and after talking for about 20 minutes it came to light that we were actually related in a roundabout way and it was the most amazing feeling. i mean if my family weren't my genetic family i'd still love them obv but i would be fuckin gutted. i just need that whole i came from you thing like from my mother who was carried and came from her mother who came from her mother blah blah and seeing a picture of my great great gran who i am the spit of. idk gives me a sense of belonging i guess and any weirdass embryo donation egg splicing surrogate shit that makes that all optional is just like no.

hmm i dont think it's fair to say 'people like that'..because in my view it isn't so much a selfish thing but a very humanistic trait..to want to be involved right from the outset and perhaps it would feel like the child is more your own if you are there right from birth.

no i totally understand that. i wanna have my own before i think properly about adoption it's just heppy said 'narrow minded people' and i dont get why you'd give basically your child to people you think that little of.
