I'm actually jealous. I want one so bad. How much did yours cost?

There was a bank holiday sale on at Jessops, the camera with a lens was £395, and insurance was £53, and I got a free £40 case. There was loads of things which you can buy for half price when you get the actual camera, so I got a UV filter to protect the lens, because I'm scared I'll do something to it! So that was £8, instead of £16.
It came to £456 all together.
I'm going to be broke for months now xD
I think it's going to be worth it though!
Reckon you'll be able to get one anytime soon matey?

Woah, really? That's brilliant.
I don't think so no, unless I sell some of my stuff. I have to get a job this summer so I might try and save up some money, so it'll probably be around September until I get it.
Tried it out yet?

That looks really cool Becky. A canon as well, nice.
I really want a camera like that, just for the fact that they make really high quality images, but i'm sure that even if I had the money it would be a waste because i'm not much of a photographer .
How long does the insurance last?

You don't have to be much of a photographer, just let the camera do all the work.

Oh, what kind of photos do you normally take? Normal telephoto and wide-angle shots or do you normally take pictures in macro?
Because I like to take a lot of my pictures in macro, but you have to buy a completely new lens for it, and they can cost up to £250 for a Canon one. But from Jessops you can get a Tampron one included with the EOS 400D as well as a digital flashgun and 4GB card all for £509 which is fucking ace, whereas the macro lens would normally cost £180 alone.
Did you consider buying it or are you just not going to bother with macro photos?

I saw that deal, it was really tempting!
If you buy before 30th Junbe you can claim £45 back from Canon, maybe more if you buy extra lenses. Which is quite handy!
I do normally take alot more macro pictures that anything else, that and live music, but there's not much chance of me getting an DSLR into a gig without a photopass. But, saying that I figured I'd just get the camera now and figure out how to work with it properly then get another lense when I have the money The macro isn't too bad on the 18-55mm lense, so I think it'll be okay for now.
Insurance lasts 2 years, or maybe 3 actually, that was £53 and covers pretty much everything theft/accidental damage etc. and it comes with the manufacturers warranty

Aye, figuring out how to work the camera out and getting used to it is a good idea. I'll probably do the same I think, and buy the lens later as £509 is a lot to spend outright on a camera, even if it is cheaper in the long run. I suppose I could always just use the macro on the camera I have right now, the macro range is 1cm, fucking brilliant.
All this talk about cameras makes me want the EOS nowww.

Wow, you must be really passionate about photography to spend £450 on a camera!
I hope you get lots of enjoyment out of it! :] xx

wow, That camera looks amazing!
How did you get so much money If you don't mind me asking.
I thought maybe you had saved your EMA but your younger than me!
I can't keep hold of money, I waste it so fast.

:D Me too!
Nope, no EMA x(
Most of my wages for the last couple of months, I figured instead of just having it, or wasting it, I might as well save it for something I really want.
Just try and limit yourself abit, don't let your bank balance get below £X, for anything.
