60% of statistics are made up. And no, I would tend to agree is not important to know every state (I'm sure many americans can't locate every state, even if they know the majority of the state names). But i'd like to hope people know where texas and california, and new york.. florida? are. Like c'mon. some of our states are bigger than your country.
