I hate to say it, but Matty is right, it would be perfectly fisable for me to come out of church on Sunday, see someone trip and laugh. I laugh when I trip, and I would expect other people to laugh to. I guess everyone just draws a personal line at the point where misfortune becomes unfunny (is that even a real word?). It's not a dichotomy, and Matty's line just happens to be a little further up the scale than most. Matty will be the first to tell you we're never likely to be best friends, but I think witch hunts and blame laying really have no place in this situation.

Even though it's just the Internet, you don't know how the affected person will actually take to it. I guess they could just choose to turn off their computer or close a window etc. but there's a still a real person there.
