About 8 months ago i got quite ill and was forced to stop working and go onto the sickness benefit (i think its called welfare over there or something) anyways basically what it is is you go to this government place called WINZ and they take down your address and a letter from the house-owner/person you pay rent to about how much you're paying and signed by them, and they calculate all your doctors bills and give you an amount of money mainly dependant on how much rent you have to pay and how often you have to go to the doctor. Now over the last month ive been cleared for work but as of yet havent found a job (even though ive sent out like 50 applications and had about 10 interviews)

Well three months ago i moved in with my boyfriend, who's mum owns the house that we rent, and sadly, she is on a benefit to, so i couldnt register as living at this particular house because she would lose her benefit...So i registered as living at my parents.

Well yesterday my nosey, interferring grandmother decided to tell a social worker that i wasnt living with my parents but in fact not even living in the same town. Now because my sickness benefit expires tomorrow there isnt really much they can do about it. And they dont have my actual address so i can claim my grandmother as being senile anyhow...

But because i havent got a job i have to go onto the unemployment benefit which will pay me a certain amount until i can once again get a job (on the proviso that i take any old crap job that they offer me, which is fine with me) except now my parents have gone all mental and refuse to sign to say im living there because they dont "approve" of me living with my boyfriend because its not "christian" but they wont let me move back there (not that i want to) cos i have a cat and because im not a "good person" anymore.


So to sum it all up, my parents are basically sending me bankrupt meaning if i dont find a job this week i could quite well be in big trouble because my boyfriend and I could both lose the house because he cant afford to support us both

i dunno what you can do other than spend every waking moment trying to get a job. follow things up, keep asking etc
