Losing someone you love
How do you deal with relationships that are unexpectedly ended? Do you find it hard to cope with, and how long does it take you to usually 'get over' your ex? My ex girlfriend told me to get over it and that she's moving on, but I don't want to/know how. So what do you do when coming off of a break-up?

I just made myself busy and went out and had lots of fun, not necessarily going out and getting with other guys (althought that can help 8-) - as Markeh said) but just having a good time with my mates etc.
If I'm honest it didn't effect me at all, I didn't even cry and usually I'm a right weepy little get. I just had other things on my mind, but if I'm honest it was a crappy relationship mostly so it felt really good to get out of it in the end.
Just make yourself busy and try not to let it linger on your mind. I think it's more about giving yourself time than anything.

If she wants to be "friends". don't, it'll just mess you up because you'll always want her and she's going to be with other people.
stay away from her and go sleep around for a bit, you'll feel much better.

Yeh I agree with whats been said. Don't try and be friends straight away it doesn't work like that, avoid her for a while to let yourself get over her, before you try and be friends. Else it gets messy and you end up sleeping together (oops) and it takes longer to get over them.
Like Billie said, just keep busy, do stuff with friends etc, and avoid going places you went with her, or listening to songs that remind you of her or whatever (hard when you share the same music taste I know).

My advice would to never be friends again, it just ends up in a mess. i broke up with the one girl i had a stable relationship with, didn't see her for like 4 months, saw her and she was engaged to some bloke, ended up having some long, messy affair with her, not good.

Well, my ex ended it.. didnt feel to bad about it end as i lost interest in here and i worked with her dad so i was glad to get rid.... but few weeks after woods we saw each othere in town and see ended up taking a lad that was out with us home... so that was upsetting. but made me realise that she was a SLAG!!!
The main thing is, dont go back there only going to be sex and heart breaks... best things to do are keep your self busy and put your bed in to good use.
It is christmas every one wants fun this time of year

I've only ever had feelings for one person, it took me a long time. Plus i was stupid and kept sleeping with her after we broke up, took me a long time to realise that i had to tell her to piss off.
