I guess it goes here. There's a guy I really like right now. We're close, he likes me etc. That's not the issue. I like him because of how he is, he's really witty and makes me laugh an incredible amount. Lately though, I've been realising he bears amazing similarities to my stepdad. I must note that I have not grown up with this man as a father figure, he only met my Mum two years ago.

The thing is, sometimes when I'm talking to him, I'm just overwhelmed by the similarities in personality and I sometimes forget which one I'm speaking two, for a split second. It's almost worrying me.

I don't think its anything to worry about. If you and your mom are really similar maybe you attract and like similiar guys.

They always say girls look for guys with their fathers qualities.

Me and my mum are not at all alike though. I would never go for anyone like my dad either, I can't stand him. I was just worried in case my feelings merged or something =\

that kinda happened with me, i had a new boyfriend and he reminded me of my ex sooo much it was so creepy, but after awhile i got to know my new boyfriend a lot better and i stopped noticing. the same will probably happen to you.
