yeah people just express it in different ways. my dad died and i still make stupid jokes about death and brain tumours which is lame because of course i loved him but it's just how i deal with stuff like that

and sorry tamsin to hear that

Thats the hardest part for me, my grandma has it, I used to see her pretty much every weekend for 17 years, shes now in a home, and doesn't remember me (I dont see her as much now either, maybe twice a month?).

Sorry to hear about your great aunt.
I work in a care home and about half of the people who i look after have dementia of some sort, it is tough to see them deteriorate but when the dementia gets really bad (as in can't remember having a conversation from one minute to the next, or not knowing where or who they are) there is a strange kind of peace, almost like a small child, it doesn't make it any easier for the family to come to terms with but it is kind of comforting to know the resident isn't in any pain or distress.

Again, sorry to hear about it.

My great nan had something similar to this I think.
Might of been the same.
Was quite upsetting especially being at my great granddads funeral,
She was asking where he was,
I mean how do you tell some for the 5th time that their partner of 70years has died?

Really sorry to hear about your great aunt tamsin.
