Alan Arkin Gets Smart

Well fresh off his latest Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor in Little Miss Sunshine, Alan Arkin has been asked and has now officially signed on to be apart of the upcoming comedy Get Smart based on the classic comedy television series. The film will star Arkin’s Little Miss Sunshine’s Steve Carell who will be playing the lead as Maxwell Smart. Alongside Carell will be Agent 99 who will be played by the Princess Diaries Anne Hathaway. Arkin will play the head of Control which is the top secret agency where Smart and Agent report to and get their missions from. Lastly, the Rock also known as Dwayne Johnson will be starring in the film playing the character Agent 23 who did not appear in the television series. The film will be directed by Peter Segal who also directed the horrible Anger Management. The film is currently filming and will probably be released sometime within the next year.
