Despite the fact I hated the original Alien vs. Predator film, I wish I could say I was shocked to hear that a sequel will be made. The original film which was hated by critics and audience members alike as somehow been green lit for a sequel to be made. While no casting choices have been made as of yet, there is word going around that the original writer and director will be coming back for this installment. The original film was written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. To make this story even more interesting there are rumors that Alien Vs. Predator will now be a trilogy meaning that there will be another sequel on the way as well. Anderson somehow has the ability to make these types of movies seem like a good idea to the folks at 20th Century Fox. Fox has already planned a release date for the second film which like I said doesn’t even have a cast or script as of yet but the release date is August 10th 2007. So for fans of the original, you have two more coming your way and those like myself who found the original one to stink, well just avoid these two sequels maybe with enough power we can make the second one tank so we never have to hear about a third one. But like the old saying goes, to each his own.
