Boogeyman 2 begins production

I don’t understand how these horrific films keep getting sequels made because probably one of the worst reviewed films of 2005 has a sequel coming out in the near future. That’s right Boogeyman 2 has officially begun production. The film was green lit by Ghost House Pictures and has been in production for about two weeks now.
The plot for the pointless sequel is centered on a young woman who has a long term phobia of the boogeyman. Well the fun begins when this young woman decides to check herself into a mental health facility with the hope of overcoming her fears of the boogeyman. Of course that doesn’t happen because trying to rid herself of this terrifying creature did not make him happy.
The film will be directed by first time director Jeff Betancourt who has been the editor on several other horrible horror films including The Grudge 2, When A Stranger Calls, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. The sequel was written by Brian Sieve who has never wrote a film before so I guess we are looking at a pretty bad film from start to finish. The movie is said to be released in the early part of 2008.
