Dead or Alive Movie Delayed Again

When a movie gets delayed, it’s more often than not a sign that even the studio realizes the movie has a lot of problems, and is either using the delay to redo scenes from the movie, or to position it so it’s not going up against any big movies, allowing it to rake it as much money as possible the first week it’s out before the buzz about how bad it is leaks out. So in the case of the Dead or Alive movie, all indications are that it’s not very good.
The movie based on the popular fighting game had already been delayed once, and was supposed to be released in December, which, of course, didn’t happen. Now, according to the Weinstein Company’s website, the movie is now supposed to be released on June 22nd. While there was no announcement made, the release date is on their official site, so it’s probably a safe bet that it’s the legit release date (until they delay it again, that is). All the delays that the game has faced seem to indicate that it will be nothing more than another mediocre to bad video game adaptation, of which there are already many.
