Deadwood Actor Ian McShane's new movie role.

Ian McShane who is best known for his work on the hit HBO television series Deadwood has decided to move from the televisions screen to the silver screen in the new film The Dark is Rising. The film will be released with the help of 20th Century Fox and Walden Media.
The film which is based on the series of books by Susan Cooper tells the story of a young man who learns that he is destined to battle evil that reaches the heights of epic proportions. McShame will be playing the role of the mentor in the film and David L. Cunningham will be sitting in the director’s chair. The movie will be filmed in Romania and will being shooting later in the year.
