Disney Makes Some BIG changes

Well ever since Disney bought Pixar it seems that they are doing much better financially and it seems that they want to keep it that way. Disney made a smart move buying Pixar because its obviously a great company that always produces terrific films that critics and audiences alike really enjoy. Now Disney is bringing back composer Alan Menken who worked on the Disney hit The Little Mermaid in 1989. They brought him back because apparently Menken knows what it takes to make Disney successful. Between the late 80s and early 90’s Disney along with Menken and his late partner Howard Ashman had six Oscars in four years for Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. So this is something that Disney is really looking forward to.
Not to mention the new head of Animation John Lasseter is being back John Musker and Ron Clements. The guys who directed both Aladdin and Mermaid. The big question now is can these guys save the hand drawn animation aspect of cartoons because ever since Pixar and DreamWorks came along with Shrek and Toy Story it seems that hand-drawn animation is dead. I hope the return of these animation greats can help save that section of animation before it becomes extinct.
