Doubt was a very popular Broadway play written by John Patrick Shanley and is now on its way to becoming a new film soon to be released by Miramax studios. The film is slated to star Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The story focuses on a dedicated nun played by Streep who is a headmistress of a Bronx Catholic school in the 1960s. The nun accuses one of the school’s most popular priests played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman of being involved sexually with one of his underage students. The film will be directed and written by John Patrick Shanley. The film is scheduled to begin production in early December of this year.
