Oscar Nominee Felicity Huffman has just signed on to be a part of the upcoming film The Politician’s Wife. The film will be released by Picturehouse studios and is an adaptation of a British miniseries with the same title. The film will be written by Nicholas Meyer the man who adapted and wrote the screenplay the Human Stain a film which I did not at all enjoy.
The story focuses on the life of a titular wife and her responding to her husband’s infidelity. The husband’s infidelity is rumored to be an unexpected twist but if you read the miniseries I guess you would already know that that twist is. The film is promising its viewers that it will be filled with intrigue and sexual politics.
Sounds like an interesting idea. The film will begin filming sometime in May after she takes a break from the television series Desperate Housewives. Later this year, Felicity Hoffman can be seen in Georgia Rule.
