Hairspray gets remade
Hairspray which was a film created and directed by John Waters back in the early eighties has become such a big hit now because of the Broadway play that Hollywood has decided to remake the film. The movie will be released by New Line Cinema who actually released the original film on DVD. Set to star in the film is Christopher Walken who will play the character Wilbur Turnblad. Walken however was not the top choice for the role and already two other actors have dropped out of the project that was set to play the same character. Both Jim Broadbent and Billy Crystal were originally supposed to star as Wilbur however they both dropped out. Hairspray is also going to be starring John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Amanda Bynes, Michelle Pfeiffer, and James Marsden to name a few. The movie should hit theaters sometime next year.
