Harry Potter DVDs Disappearing?
So will Harry Potter DVDs disappear off the shelves like magic? Well it seems that Warner Brothers will actually copy Disney and make a movie vault of their own. That’s right Warner Brothers intends to pull all the Harry Potter DVDs from the stores on February 9, 2007. The first three films in the franchise are expected to disappear from DVD shelves on December 29, 2006 and the last film so far entitled The Goblet of Fire will be gone from the shelves on February 9th. When I first heard about this I thought this was a huge scheme in order to get everyone to buy the new high definition special edition DVD but it turns out that the only reason why Warner Brothers is doing it is to help boost sales of the DVDs since the new Harry Potter film “The Order of Phoenix” won’t be released until July of 2007. After the DVDs are pulled they will not be released again for up to two years and to make matters worse for the Harry Potter fans, the special editions may not be released until 4 years later. Well I guess Warner Brothers has picked up on Disney’s biggest scam to make everyone run out and buy a did and if they don’t get it they are forced to pay $50 for it on eBay or amazon.com.
