Horror Movies Via Michael Bay

Michael Bay, the director of movies with all action and no plot has his own Horror movie production company. The company which is known as Platinum Dunes has been remaking classic horror films now for several years. I guess the world isn’t sick of remakes but after this I am sure they will be because Michael Bay’s horror production company has signed a three year deal with Rogue Pictures which is owned by Universal.
Michael Bay has been the producer now of several horror remakes including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (in theaters now), The Hitcher (Will be released April 2007), and several others. Anyway, this new deal that Bay and his company signed will earn them a 10% first dollar gross for any more movies that are made by his production company over the next 3 years. This deal is rumored to be one of the best deals that any producer has gotten in Hollywood.
While Michael Bay counts his money from this deal, his production company has already began working on the script for another horror remake this time Near Dark which originally came out in the early 80s. I always thought Michael Bay was a hack however with him landing a deal like this one, I guess I can only give the man credit even though he usually makes mediocre films at best.
