Iron Man: The Movie

Well the comic books movies continue as over the last few days there have been rumors that more and more comic book movies will be made. The latest comic being made into a movie is Iron Man. What most don’t know is that there has already been a script for Iron Man which has been sitting on a shelf for many years and rumor has it the script isn’t very good. But now it seems Jon Favreau, the man behind Elf and Zathura, is going to step in and take over. Favreau will not only direct this film but also co-write a new script for it as well. The other writers who will be working with Favreau on Iron Man include Arthur Marcum and Matt Hollaway.
Iron Man was originally going to be made by New Line Cinema however since it hasn’t been green lit in many years, they dropped the project. Paramount just picked it up where oddly enough Marvel Comics has set up many of its other upcoming films to be made at. So what other movies are being made by Paramount and Marvel Comics? Well Hulk 2 which is probably one of the worst ideas for a sequel, Captain America, Thor, and finally Nick Fury. Studios keep making these comic book movies and I think they really need to spread these out for a while because I feel we are getting overwhelmed with comic book movies.
Iron Man is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2008 along with the sequel to the 2003 Box Office Disaster Hulk.
