The story of Jeepers Creepers 2 follows An high school basketball team has just become State Champions. They are on a long trip home from their championship game, when the bus breaks down and is attacked by the Creeper. The kids struggle amongst themselves and against this hungry, supernatural beast trying to stay alive on what quickly becomes the most terrifying night of their lives.
As its 23 horrifying days of flesh-eating come to an end, an ancient creature known as the Creeper embarks on a final voracious feeding frenzy, terrorizing the group of varsity basketball players, cheerleaders and coaches. Jonathan Breck returns to the role of The Creeper and is charismatic as hell as the monster clad in his favourable trench coat and ranch hat. When he\'s not flying about at all altitudes and picking off his victims, he\'s sniffing them out with his neat little Creeper-sniffle and even licking bus windows in one beautifully shot sequence.
The film throws you into the action as the Creeper picks out its chosen victims and of course you have guessed with every film like this the hot-blooded adolescents turn on each other. The intensity of the original Jeepers Creepers` horrifying first act ensured the film`s success and also managed to buoy the remainder of the movie once the killer was unveiled as the bastard offspring of Beelzlebub and Rod Hulls Emu.
This follow-up, though, is devoid of any originality. The story veers even further towards Predator territory, with inspiration from Jaws and Jurassic Park also evident. However, the main complaint is that none of the characters really deserve their moment in the spotlight, and so we feel nonchalant as each victim becomes take-out. As the film reaches its last 10 minutes of the 104 it contains.
The creeper is a good horror character where in the first film you didn`t see too much of him and only wide shots of him so you couldn`t see much of him just his ghostly figure in Creepers 2 you see much more of him which does slow the horror and feeling of you don`t know what it is. Overall it contains nothing as good as the first movies best moments, but sorts out its worst elements. Result: a half-decent creature feature. The Creepers Back!
