Jim Carrey’s Bad Movie Luck
You know after seeing Jim Carrey in the Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I grew a new kind of respect for Carrey and after those movies, I even thought some of his comedy work wasn’t too bad but just needed to tone it down a little. But now I am actually starting to feel bad for the guy since now 3 of his newly scheduled projects have been put on hold. I guess if we used the old baseball slogan “three strikes and your out,” Carrey would definitely be out of luck. The three movies I am referring to are all ones I had a lot of interest in seeing the first was Used Guys which costarred Ben Still, Believe it or Not! Which was the Tim Burton directed feature which if anyone knows me knows I am a huge Burton fan so this really angers me and now just announced A Little Game had been put on hiatus which costars Cameron Diaz.
Apparently with the film A Little Game, everything was going as planned until there were revisions made during the films final act which made Carrey, Diaz and the director Gabriele Muccino walk off the set. It has been reported that both Diaz and Muccino have completely left the project permanently. Focus Features, which is a great production company by the way, is hoping to get Carrey back to film the end of the film but there is still no word at the moment f he will in fact return to the project.
