More Problems Arise on the Dallas Movie Set

I think by now many of us already realized that making a cult television series into a movie is a bad idea. We have several movies that can confirm that including the Dukes of Hazzard, The Mod Squad, Car 54, Where are you? And many others. Even films like Maimi Vice which got mixed reviews didn’t impress many at the box office but hell Hollywood keeps putting out these crappy movies because some how they believe they will sell.
Well the Dallas movie which has been running into a problem one week after another is having yet another problem because all the names that were originally attached to this project are now no longer involve that is everyone except for John Travolta. Cast members Like Wilson, Shirley MacLaine, Meg Ryan and even Jennifer Lopez abandoned ship. Like I just said this left Travolta alone. The main problem which caused for most of the cast to leave was the change in director. Dallas was originally going to be directed by Gurinder Chadha the man who brought us Bend it Like Beckham however he bailed on the project and shortly after which so did most of the cast. The movie is now going to be directed by Legally Blonde director Robert Luketic. Fox has also dropped out of the running to be the studio to release the film. Its hard to say what is going to happen with the film at this point however Luketic wants to recast the film as soon as possible and begin shooting in January. There is also rumors that he wants to make this film more teenage friendly so maybe he will cast Jessica Simpson since we know now almost every other bad movie features Jessica Simpson.
