New Tarzan Film to be released

If you have been craving another Tarzan movie well your prayers have been answered because it looks like Warner Brothers is looking to bring the Tarzan franchise back to life with a new film. Jerry Weintraub is working on a new way to take the tale and writer John Collee is working on the script. Warner Brothers hopes to get Guillermo Del Toro on board to direct the film. Del Toro has already expressed interest in the film and says that he would love to create a new version of the classic family flick but hopes to make it as edgy as possible. Since Del Toro is working on Hellboy 2, he is leaving all the writing to Collee. The new film is expected to return to the old fashioned Tarzan which was created by Edgar Rice Burroughs and will not be post modern. No word on when the film will begin filming or who will star but my guess is production will start sometime within the next 6 months.
