So already the entries are beginning to be submitted to choose which films will be announced at the Academy Awards in 2007. So far not much information has been released but it has been released that Norway has already picked it’s film for the best foreign film award. The film is called Reprise which is a lighthearted and upbeat film about life’s realities invading youthful assumptions. The film is suppose to be extremely powerful and unusual and the owner of the Norwegian Film Institute says that she belives this film will win the Oscar because the film grabs it’s audience from the very first frame of the film. Reprise is director Joachim Trier’s first film and to have your first film put up for an Oscar must be a great feeling. I hope to see this film when its released in the United States. Other foreign films competing for best foreign film include Falkenberg Farewell which is Sweden’s entry and Denmark’s After the Wedding.
