Orange Phone Service Extends Movie Deal

Since this is a U.K based website I thought this news would be very great. The British wireless phone company Orange has decided to extend their deal with major movie houses in the United Kingdom to provide two for one movie tickets on Wednesday nights when anyone who dials the numbers 241 and sends a text message from their current cell phone to their local movie theater. This promotion has apparently been running for some time now however the movie theaters are getting some good feedback from this promo. The advertisements for this deal run before the film even stars just like a regular commercial in movie theaters. Orange has stated that now more than 90 percent of British theaters want to and are participating in this 2fer Wednesday night offer. The reason why this promotion is working so well is because according to box office figures and theaters Wednesday is one of the slowest nights for movies and by giving a two for one deal it has increased sales.
