Rachel Weisz will not return for Mummy Three.

I always liked Rachel Weisz. Not only is she fairly attractive but she is a great actress to boot. Well over the past few years she has done some very good work including The Constant Gardener. But before she started winning awards she starred in the horribly average films The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Well now they are planning to make the Mummy 3 however Weisz isn’t going to star in the film which I strongly feel is a smart move on her part. The bad news is Brendan Fraser will now be wifeless however I am sure that the screenwriters will be able to make her character die in order to make the story continue on. It is rumored that Weisz isn’t doing the 3rd flick because of scheduling conflicts but I think she realizes that she has far more to offer in terms of acting then being part of the Mummy 3. The film regardless will be directed by Rob Cohen, the man who brought us Fast and the Furious. The original director Stephen Sommers will also not be returning which means that the film will more than likely suck more than the first two did. If you’re a fan you can look forward to seeing the Mummy 3 when it hits theaters next year.
