Revenge of the Nerds Remake

One of my favourite 80’s teen movies would have to be Revenge of the Nerds. But I am sad to report that Fox studios have now decided to green light the remake of this classic 80’s teen flick. Revenge of the Nerds will be one of the first new films to be released under Fox’s new label called Fox Atomic. The director of the remake will be Kyle Newman who hasn’t really directed a good movie in his career as of yet. The man in charge of the script will be Adam F. Goldberg who again hasn’t really written anything out of the ordinary. And finally the producer will be McG who was the director of the god-awful Charlie’s Angels movies.
The film’s storyline is supposed to be very similar to the original film and revolves around the nerds getting revenge on the jocks but the only difference is that it will feature a brand new cast. There is word that Fox is trying to get the original cast members including Curtis Armstrong (Booger), Robert Carradine (Lewis), and Anthony Edwards (Gilbert). Being a big fan of the original two films I am very leery about this remake and his Hollywood is doing this just for the money and doesn’t have anyone decent attached to this film yet I don’t have a good feeling about it. But I have a feeling that I will see it just out of curiosity.
