I am actually a big fan of the Saw Franchise and I think both the original film and the sequel were both very creative and entertaining so I can honestly say I am looking forward to the 3rd installment. This time around a married mother named Lynn will be kidnapped by Jigsaw. Lynn has been kidnapped because of some dark secrets that she is keeping from her family. The second character involved will be a man named Jeff who is a dad that has never fully recovered from the death of his son. His son died by accident but he has never been able to forgive himself for his death.
The cast this time around will consist of Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Bahar Soomekh, Angus MacFayden and more are still to be announced. The third installment will be directed by Darren Lynn Bousman who is the same guy who directed the second installment. The plot for this installment will be created by the original director James Wan who will work with co-creator Leigh Whannell writing the script. Saw 3 was scheduled to originally start shooting on May 1st but it looks like it will begin shooting next week in Toronto Canada.
