U.K Books turned into Hollywood Blockbusters Make A Mark At The Box Office

Well everyone knows that Harry Potter is one of the biggest things ever to come out of the U.K. as far as movies go. But did you know that the 6 of the top 10 movies released since 2001 are based on books written by top British authors. These movies have made a huge amount of cash at the box office with a total amount of $13 billion dollars.
Since the year 2001, the U.K. film council had six out of 10 top films including Harry Potter as we all known already but also The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, War of the Worlds, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and lastly the god-awful Die Another Day. The U.K Film Council also stated that they have spend a total of $915 million in the first half of 2006 on various film productions. This number is actually 76% more than a year ago.
