Daniel Smith, the 20-year-old son of former Playboy mate Anna Nicole Smith died suddenly in the Bahamas on Sunday, three days after Anna Nicole gave birth to a babygirl.
According to reports, Anna Nicole found her son ‘unconscious and not breathing’, in their motel room and tried for twenty minutes to revive him while Howard K Stern, Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer, called for help. When medical staff arrived, Daniel was confirmed dead.
A statement from Howard K. Stern, did not provide any details of Daniel Smith’s death, and he declined to comment when contacted.
“We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor,” Stern said in the statement.
Later reports have treated the death of Daniel as ‘suspicious’.
“Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being.”
