Beckhams turn up in LA

None-more-British golden couple David and Victoria Beckham have finally shipped out and made the long-planned move to Los Angeles, where the former England captain is going to start his new job as a star player for the LA Galaxy team.
Typically their arrival wasn’t a low-key affair – the pair were met at the airport by crowds of screaming fans, jostling with the inevitable photographers and TV camera crews. David didn’t have long to get some rest before having to get up bright and early for a news conference for his new team.
The team know that this isn’t just any ordinary footie player but an international megastar, but with Los Angeles being the home of all things super-glam, we’re sure they’ll cope! It’s hoped that Becks will get Americans more interested in what they call ‘soccer’, which isn’t half as popular there as it is in the UK. Meanwhile, Posh should settle in nicely amongst the designer boutiques. The long-awaited documentary about her journey to her new home will be shown next week.
