It's the latest news in a crazy year for Britney Spears – at last she is officially rid of her babydaddy and full-time wannabe hanger-on of a husband, Kevin Federline.

It was last autumn that Britney first told her husband and the world that she wanted a divorce – firstly by text message to the hapless K-Fed. In November the legal wheels started turning, with Brit citing irreconcilable differences as grounds for divorce. Now the troubled singer is once again single.

The couple have been granted shared custody of their two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston. They've still got a scrap coming over the financial terms of the settlement. So it's not quite over yet… stay tuned.
