She's been criticised for being a bad mother, but now Britney Spears is in trouble with animal lovers after she bought a puppy from a pet shop – the same one where she bought a Chihuahua earlier in the year.
The US Humane Society have had a pop at Brit for spending $3000 on a Yorkshire terrier at Pets of Bel Air, seemingly an impulse buy. The shop says it doesn't buy from puppy mills, the 'breeding factories' that are frowned upon as inhumane, but the Humane Society are still cross.
Stephanie Shain from the HS said: "Choosing a dog is a major lifestyle decision that should not be taken lightly. Ms Spears is setting a damaging example to the public. Most dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills - factory-like facilities churning out purebred and 'designer' puppies in large numbers."
