Cobain's life to be put to film

A movie is to be made following the life of the late rocker Kurt Cobain.
Cobain’s widow Courtney Love acquired the rights to 'Heavier Than Heaven' - a biography written by Charles Cross, and plans to portray the life of the Nirvana frontman on the big screen. Love has confirmed the project is "in an embryonic stage" and she is currently in talks with several studios. She wrote on her website moonwashedrose.com: "It has no script and no director attached, let alone stars. But if the movie is made it will of course be an A list and high end film."
On April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead in his home. He had committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun, although conspiracy theorists now dispute he took his own life.
If the movie goes ahead as planned it will be the first authorized movie about Cobain, his time in Nirvana and his relationship with Love.
'Last Days', considered by many to be director Gus Van Sant's unauthorized account of Cobain's life, starred Michael Pitt as a Seattle musician whose career bore a striking resemblance to Cobain's.
