Corrie Stars Get The Sack

Two of Corrie’s hottest stars - Keith Duffy and Danny Young - have been sensationally axed from the soap
Keith, who has played Ciaran McCarthy for over two years, and Danny Young, who plays Warren Baldwin, will both be written out of the soap, reports The Sun.
But that’s not all. Rumours abound that more of the younger cast members will be following them out the door before the week is out!
Rival soap EastEnders has been culling cast members in a desperate bid to save the ailing soap - and it seems Corrie bosses are having a precautionary nip and tuck to avoid a similar fate.
An insider said: "The youngsters in the cast will all be looking over their shoulders after this. The older, more established stars have in the past been on the end of other producers' purges."
The radical overhaul is thought to be the brainchild of soap boss Tony “Chopper” Wood, after a meeting of high-level executives in Madrid last month.
The move will be a shock for 20-year-old Danny, who fell for co-star Nikki Sanderson when he joined the hit soap and has rarely been out of the press since.
However, defiant Keith insisted he had no intention of continuing with the soap after being offered roles elsewhere. He recently turned down a part opposite Kerry Katona in the film Showbands because of his commitment to the soap.
He said: "I will be sad to say goodbye to the great friends that I have made in the cast and crew but am looking forward to spending more time with my family."
Luckily for Keith, his best pal Colin Farrell (yes the Colin Farrell) has promised to help him get a foot in the door by introducing him to top Hollywood execs, so look out for him on the silver screen soon. That, or Celebrity Big Brother, series 12.
