Dennis Weaver Dies

Wow I am amazed that I have to report another death but now today for the third day in a row another actor has died. Dennis Weaver the actor who first became a star in the TV series Gunsmoke died of complications from cancer on Friday. He died in his home in Colorado. He was 81 at the time of his death. The talented actor was also the leading mean in the 1970’s television series McCloud. On top of being an actor, Weaver was also President of the Screen Actors Guild from 1973-1975. He also was a committed environmentalist who spoke on behalf of the United Nations and Congress. Interesting fact about Weaver is that his house was built out of recycled materials.
